Ashanti Shequoiya, also known by the name Ashanti was born October 13 1981 in Glen Cove New York United States. She is a singer songwriter and actress from the United States. Ashanti, a teenage actor and singer in the US, had her name signed by Murder Inc. Records to record in 2002. She appeared in The Fat Joe's What's Luv? song that the same year. The song "What's Love?" by Fat Joe as well as Ja Rule's "It's Always" on Time were both huge hits. When she released"What's Luv, at number two in the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States and Foolish at number one with Foolish as her first single, she was the only female to achieve this feat. The track What's Luv! We can celebrate this special day together. Ashanti Shequoiya was popularly called Ashanti and was born on thirteenth October 1980 located in Glen Cove New York. Tina Douglas, her mother is a former teacher of dance. Ken-Kaide Douglas is her father. Kenashia Shai Douglas is her sister. She is the oldest. Douglas named Ashanti Shia Douglas in honor of her mother, who was from the Ashanti Empire of Ghana, where women were powerful and influential. Douglas wanted Ashantis to adopt this model. James' grandfather was associated with Martin Luther King Jr. as a civil right activist in the 1960s. The Ashanti's mother discovered her talent following her performance of Mary J. Blige Reminisce. Ashanti sampled the track of 1983 by DeBarge Stay With Me in her debut track Foolish. Ashanti made her debut album, which was titled "Ashanti", in 2002, under Irv Getti's Murder Inc. Record Label. The Declaration her fourth studio album was released on June 3, 2008. On the 16th of October Hey Baby (After the Club) was made available to radio and digital outlets. The singer was as a character in The Christmas in the City film and played Latasha in Army Wives. Her track Rock wit U was sampled by British singer Aitch to accompany his track Baby on the 10th of March 2022.
